JUNIOR CUP MATCHES.
The United and Lancaster Park teams met at .Hagley Park, when the latter went in first, scoring 138 (Barrett 48, Atkinson 39, and Saxton 17). United made 93 for four wickets (Beckett 48, Boddington 32). Boddington, Harper, and Howell bowled best for the United, and regg and Norton did be3t for the Park.
The Midland and Sydenham teams also commenced a match at Hagley Park, and when play ceased the sccrss were:—Midland 122 (Ward 48, Sinclair 17, and Robson 15); Sydenham 62 (Saunders 19, and AY. Clarkson 13). Smith and Kowe divided the bowling honours for Sydenham, and Costeilce took four wickets for 3 runs for the Midland. The Midland batted one man short, and Sydenham two short.
