LAND BOARD.
The Land Board met on Thursday. A number of applications for transfers of leases and licenses were considesred. The Board could not remit the rent of J. Hogan, Cheviot, for alleged flooding of h.is land. The respective cases of a n__ber of settlers in arrears with their rent were considered. The ranger was authorised to make arrangements, if possible, with the adjoining owners for taking temporary tenancies of the portion of the Orari riverbed, near Belfield, adjoining their lands. Plans, schedules, and valuations of the acquired portion of the Lyndon Estate, near Waiau, were laid before the Board. Messrs- Prin.gle and Scaly, who had visited the land, considered the values placed on the sections fair, and the publication of the plans and particulars submitted was approved of. Ths Progressive Liberal Association wrote with reference to the amount of consideration money paid for transfers of leaseholds in perpetuity. It was resolved to reply that the Board did its best in all land transactions to carry out the laws dealing with such matters. The following leases were diecl__red forfeited for airears of rent: —Lots 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, Block 10, Arundel V.S.; Lots 7 and 11, Reserve 1126; Lot 43, Highbank; Lot 8, Rakitairi; Lot 30, Albury. If you read the testimonials I publish each day, you will learn something of what VITADATIO, THE GREAT HERBAL REMEDY, Is Doing.
