WELLINGTON, August 11. Wind—Gale from between east and south and Eouth-wost on the oast coast between Thames and the North Capo, moderate to strong northerly winds on the west coast between the North Capo and New Plymouth; gale from between north and east and southeast oa the east coast between Thames and Najpier, and moderate northerly winds everywhere else.

Barometer—Falling slowly south of the Thames and Manukau, rise in the North Sea, heavy on the east coast north of Kaikoura, a heavy easterly swell thence southward, considerable sea on all the western coast after 12 hours.

Tides—Moderate on the cast coast north o£ Tauranga; high from thence to Cape Campbell, good thence southward and on all the western coast. Warning signals for eoutherlj gales are exhibited at Cap© Maria Van Diemen and Tiritiri, and for easterly galea at Cape Campbell. synopsis or the previous 24 sotrss. Slowly increasing pressure everywhere with easterly gales and heavy rainfall north of Napier, Tnupo, and New Plymouth, but moderate to strong easterly winds in all othei parts of; the country, with fine weather. A low pressure from the N.W. is about 200 miles north-east of Ruaaell, travelling to the S.E. The low pressure in the Taaman Sea is decreasing in energy, and there is no further evidence of it. A low pressure in tho South ia expected to pass in the meridian of the South C&fpe to-day.
