United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright LONDON, November 26. The Purbrook Steeplechase was won by the Australian-bred horse Ebor, with Corner second, and Rosemallow third.
(press association , telegram.) WELLINGTON, November 27. The result of the enquiry into Wedlock's running in the Second Welter Handicap on Friday is that F. Holmes, owner, and' his horse are both disqualified for a year.
A meeting of the Committee of tihe Ashburton County Racing €lub was held on Saturday eveirjig, when a dozen new members were elected. A quantity of business in connection with the Summer Meeting was transacted.
