THE GENERAL ELECTION.
Mr T. H. Caverliill addressed a meeting of electors at the Woodside School on Friday evening. A vote of thinks and confidence was carried unanimously. Mr T. Harle occupied the chair. Mr Rennie, who is a candidate for the Selwyn seat, is to speak at the Dunsandel Hall "on Thursday next, at 8 p.m. Sir G. W. Russell is to speak on. Tuesday at Prebbleion, and Wednesday at West Melton. / Mr C. A- C. Hardy, one of the candidates for the Selwyn seat, visited Kirwee and others at the stock sale, by whom he on Friday, and met a large number of fanners was well received. The promises of support be has received throughout the district are most encouraging, and augurs well for his 1 success on the day of election.
