THE PRAYER OFFERED.
The following is the full text of Bishop WoJlis's special , prayer at the close of the •pevchett:—"Almighty Lord God, King of ell earth. wlioh/urt formed oar nation to show forth thy praise, and hast protected it Unto this day,,continue to use, we pray Thee, thy loving kindness that we may hand down to the generations to come the heritage which Thou hast given us. Strengthen our soldiers, especially thorn who have gone forth from tltese islands that they may fight manfully agaiunit all oppression and injustice; defend them in their peril, and comfort them in every trouble; give victory to their arms, and teach them in the hour of triumph to remember mercy; and finally grant to us all and to our enemies a perpetual fear and love of thy holy name, that we may hereafter aorve thee in peace togetcier, through Jesus Christ our Lord."
