Captain Willis was a passenger from the Sooth by the express on Saturday night. Mr G. J. Smith, M.H.R., returned from Wellington yeeterday. Amongst, the passengers by the express for the South on Saturday morning -were Mossie J. A. Millar, IX. Gilfedder, and J. W. KeMy, iLH-R's. The Rev*. C. A. Frear, L. C- Brady, and F. B. Inwood went SootS by Saturday's express, Mrs and Miss Ronalds were passengers to Dunedin by the Zealandia. Mr W. Deveniah Meares vent Sooth by the Zcalstndia on Saturday. Mr E. Gates, who recently left TinwaM to go down end look after » newly-acquired property ia Southland, is back on a brief Tint to his old frauds in Aahburton and Tinwald. Mr C. 6. Owen, Weßngton, was a passenger from the North by last night's ■teener. Messrs Jamas Haslett, James Duthie, C. B RuaseU, S. C. Welch, a H. Tripp, and C J Bandersoa were also passengers. 'Mr J. S. Dβ Beer w*s a paasenger for the South by «fae Zealaodia on Saturday. Mr Emil Sander, Sydney, went South by tbs express.
