Germany is constructi-g a railway connecting Dar-es-Salaam, a seaport in German East Africa, with Lakes Tanganyika and Victoria Nyanza. GERMANY'S NEED OF A FLEET. October 19. The Kaiser, speaking at a banquet at HambuTg in connection with the launch of the ironclad Kaiser Karl der Grosae, said Germany was in bitter need of a strong fleet to push her thriving trade and over-sea interests.
