SPRING MEETING—SECOND DAY.

Though the weather was more pleasant than on the first day, tihe attendance at New Brighton yesterday was not co large as on Saturday. The rain that fell between the two days left the course in even better order than it bad. been, and some fine exhibitions of trotting were witnessed. The fastest mile of the two days was registered in the last race, Young Burlington getting his record down to 2.27. The chief saddle event resulted in a pa-t-icularly fine contest, Florrie the last to staH, just squeezing home from Shylock, and in doing so registered a very fast performance.
