In July last an Italian shot an American doctor at Tallulas, in Louisiana. The friends of the doctor thereupon lynched the Italian and five of his friends. The American Government now, as on act of courtesy, offer Italy 5000 dollars in respect of each of the lynched men. 5 REVOLUTION IN VENEZUELA. CARACAS, September 12. A revolution lias occurred in Venezuela. The forces under General Castro, the revolutionary leader, defeated the Government troops, capturing 2000. BRITISH WARSHIP IN THE BLACK SEA. CONSTANTINOPLE, September 12. The British sloop Melita visited' Odessa, in the Black Sea, and the officers were cordially entertained. The Russian officers drank the Queen's ihealth with en? thusiann. The Melita visits Sevastopol. She will be the first British warship to visit there since the Crimean War. VITRIOL THROWN OVER BRITISH TOURISTS. PARIS, September 13. A French woman threw vitriol over four English, tourists at Boulogne.
