WOOLSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
This Council met on Thursday evening. Present—The Mayor, Crs. Milne, Hbbscwi, Thomas, Colwill, Lord, Spreadbury, and Gimblett. Ah apology was accepted from Cγ; Gariasid. A deputation, consisting of j Messrs Green, Bonnington, Hay ward, and j Bowron interviewed the Council with regard to the cycle track from Cluistchurch to Sumner., , Mr Green asked the Council to allow a track'"2ftwide down the Ferry road, and : to gf^^W^Oifet^eii f 'tti'W«wS the work. It was unitniiJWusly Tesoßed to grant the permission asked fof, -ajffd'jtq , 'assist the undertaking with a donation of £15. An application from Messrs Taylor and Cocker, for a footpath in River street was referred to Works Committee. The Chairman of Works Committee reported that he liad in-, spected Partes street, and recomp^endef , ' the placing, a culvert over the fofci," arid raising the level , of 'the southern footpath about six inches. This was left to the. Works Committee with power to act. A cordial vote of thanks was given..to each of the retiring Councillors, i ;■;, . ; ■
