CAPTAIN STURDEE.

Captain Frederick Charles Doveton Sturdee, who was promoted to a captaincy the other day, for service in Samoa, was for- / roerly one of the assistants to the Director of Naval Ordnance. Captain Sturdee received the gold medal of the Royal United Service Tastitution for the year 1886, and again for the year 1894.
