During the past few days prime milling wheat in small quantities, mostly Pearl and Tuscan, has been sold at 3s 6d at country stations, equal to 3s 8d f.6.b. Ordinary milling is worth about 3s 6d f.0.b., or at t'he mills, but business is still very quiet. The oats market is unchanged, only small lots moving for local consumption. Potatoes are easier, and purchases have been made at £4 15s at handy country, stations. The following are current prices paid to farmers, f.0.b., Lyttelton, for direct shipment from country stations and free of commission, except where otherwiserspecified: — "• Wheat (nominal)-r-Good to prime quality pearl 3s 9d to 3s 10cL Tuscan 3» 8d to 3s 9d, Hunter's 3s 7d to'3B'Bd, second quality wheat about 3d lower.
