WELLINGTON, September 19. To-morrow night it is expected will be devoted to the Estimates. The items in the Colonial Secretary's Department are next on the list, and as there are many debateable items, a lengthy sitting of the Committee is expected. Mr John M'Kenzie is slowly improving in health. He hopes to be able to attend the House to-morrow.
Mr James Allen is expected to take his seat in the House to-morrow. There are still no signs of Mr Hone Heke, who is reported now to be in good health.

AUCKLAND, September 19.
The Hauraki Company has crushed 144 tons for bullion, valued at £1437. The Woodstock Company's crushing for one month was 526 tons for bullion valued at £667, and the Kapanga Company's 25 tons for bullion valued at £300.
DUNEDIN, September 19.
The following dredging returns are to hand :—Upper Waipori, 220_ Bdwts gold for the week ; Jutland Flat, 16oz2dwt; Golden Terrace, 370z 14dwt; Maniatot odredge, 290_ 18grs for 210 hours ; Elevator, lOoz 2dwt, for sixty hours; Kyeburn dredge, 12oz lOdwt.
