CANTERBURY TROTTING CLUB.
There will be capital entertainment at the C.T.C. Meeting, which commences at twelve o'clock to-day. The following are the selections of our sporting contributor:— Trial Handicap—Sing Sing or Young Burlington. Juvenile Stakes —Geo. M. Patchen, Director next best Free-for-AU—Fritz. Victoria Handicap -Booby or General Luck. Pony Handicap—Narragansett. Progressive Handicap—Sunshine or Rockwood. Telegraph Handicap — Violetta, jun. Final Handicap—Awahuri or Brown Duchess.
The Wanganui Steeplechase meeting commences to-day. The sport promises to be interesting. Our contributor's, selections are :—Flying Handicap, Bona Fide ; Wanganui Steeplechase, Plain Bill 1-, The Friar 2; Hunters' Steeplechase, Menadava; Hurdle Race, Opai; Hack Hurdles, Alpine ; Suburban Steeplechase, Bradshaw; Hack Flat, The Hempie.
There will be racing to-day at Dunedin, Wanganui, Takapuna, Waipawa and Otaki.
