WOOLSTON BOROGH COUNCIL.

Thomas and Lord it was resolved that the wages of the p.rmanenfc . men be increased to 7s per day, and casual - men when employed be placed on the same ' footing. Mr Tanner gave notice that he would move that the following rates be struck for the current year, viz. :—A general rate of three farthings in the £, a charitable aid rate of five thirty-Beconds of a penny in -> the £, a drainage rate of three farthings in the.£, and a Waimakariri river rate of five sixty-fourths of a penny in the £.
