BICYCLES ON THE RAILWAYS.

The inconvenience of the new railway regulation with regard to passengers' bicycles has already begun to be felt. A member of the Wanganui Education Board, Who resides at Manaia, and lias to travel ten miles to the nearest railway station, made use of his bicycle for the purpose the other day. He readied Wanganui all right, but on returning, he was (says the "Taranaki Herald") refused conveyance of his bicycle, because he did not take it to the station fifteen minutes before the departure of the train. Consequently he had to walk home from Hawera to Manaia, and pay freight on J_is bicycle the following day.
