THE NATIVE MEETING AT PAPAWAI.

Mahuta* has decided not to visit the Maori meeting at Papawai. The Government has refused to allow the Tutanekai to bring down 100 natives from Rawene and Kaihan will not be present. A special train will take the Governor, Lady Ranfurly, the Admiral, the Premier and the Ministers on Wednesday, and a korero on the land question will be held on the following day.
