CYCLING.
LEAGUE OF WHEELMEN.
The Executive of the New Zealand Lciieue of Wheelmen met last night, Mr W. Thomson in the chair. The following records were passed :—W. B. Bell, 50 miles, Kiccarton South to Milton and back, 2hrs 25min; J. T. Owen, Eketahunn to Masterton and Carterton, lhr 25min and lhr 56Jmin respectively ; L. O. Hallberg, Masterton to Greytown, 36min. The Christchurch Cycling Club called attention to R. Campbell'saction in competing for and claiming tbo prize in the maiden race at the club's recent Good Friday meeting, he having previously won a race at Invercargill. It was decided to suspend him for the rest of the year. The same Club asked that in the event of the Club securing the formation of a first-class cycle track the League should grant permits to no other cycle track in or around Chriatchurch. Consideration of this question was deferred. The Wanganui A.A. and C.C. wrote appointing Mr J. H. Parker, of Christchurch, as their delegate to the League. Messrs Atack and Kuhn were appointed a committee to consider the proposed reciprocity agreement with the Victorian Loaguo and report to the next meeting. It was decided to pay £3 3s each to Archer, Porter, Ritchie and Preece for single pacing at the Dunedin Championship Meeting. It was decided to suspend a rider for not having paid his entranco fees for the Championship Meeting. It was decided to write to the various Clubs and Leagues , Consuls regarding the alleged attempt to form a North Island League, asking for information.
