Wool had a dragging sale yesterday and there were numerous withdrawals of wasty merinos and crossbreds. Up to date 60,520 bales have been catalogued, of which 45,786 have been sold.

Mutton—Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, Canterbury 3fd, Dunedin and Southland 3|d, North Island 3 3-16 th d. lamb —Prime Canterbury, 4 l-16th d; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington and secondary Canterbury, 8 8-16 th d. Biver Plate erossbreds or merino wethers, heavy and light, 2 15-16 th d.

New Yoek, May 9. Wheat is selling in New York at Idol 75c (7s Id) per bushel.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, limited, have received the following cablegram from their London office, under date 6th inss.:—
" Rabbitakins—Since our last telegram prices are higher by $d to Id perlb." « Preserved Meats—There is a good demand at somewhat hkher trices."
