Rome, May 8.

The bread riots in Italy continue, and Milan is in a state of siege, and trade is paralysed. The streets were barricaded to prevent the cavalry charging while the rioters were sacking the chief business premises. Many of the rioters were killed. Received May 10th, 1.5 a.m. Roue, May 9. A riot at Milan originated through Socialistic plotters. The law courts, schools and public offices are closed. Eight thousand troops are now in possession of the city.

It is reported that 300 persons have been killed during the'past two days. The riot has now been suppressed. ,
