INFECTED FRUIT.

The fruit importers in Dunedin (states a Press Association telegram) have received an intimation from the Minister of Agriculture that any infected fruit must be destroyed or returned, but what is at present ip the shops will not be interfered with. The agents of the Elingamite have received intimation that the fruit in the ship has been irrevocably condemned, but the shippers have the option of sending it back to Sydney. The Elingamite was so late in reaching Dunedin that the ftuit was not touched yesterday.
