THE BANANA TRADE.
The consumption of bananas in the colony has reached enormous proportions, the regular shipments of this frait from the ielands becoming larger every season. The Miowera, which arrived at Wellington on Thursday, from Vancouver via Honolulu anil Suva, brought nearly 6000 bunches, and in consequence her arrival created no email stir among the Chinese fruit dealers and the local fruit auctioneers.
