DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
(PRKSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.)
DUNEDIN, April 28. At a meeting of the committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club a letter was received from J. R. Sewell, appealing against the decision of the stewards in disqualifying him and the horse Lobo at the autumn meeting. An appeal was also received in the Ned Kelly disqualification case. The Committee decided that there was no appeal to it under Rule 117, as it was a question of fact. It was also resolved to inform the Secretary of the Racing Conference that the Committee contend that the decision of the stewards was on a question of fact, and that under Rule 117 no appeal lies either to the Committee of the Jockey Club or the Racing Conference, the decision of the stewards being final.
