Sinking operations have been carried out on the hanging wall of the lode, and today a telegram was received from the mine that the assay had turned out remarkably well since. Reticence is observed on the part oT the local authorities, but it isetated on good authority that six assays went several ounces to the ton, the values being stated at from £12 to £15 per ton.
