WOOL SHIPMENTS FROM CANTERBURY.

The* National Mortgage and Agency Company have favoured us with the following statement of the wool shipments from Canterbury, including Lyttelton and Timaru, for the season 1896 (from July Ist, 1895, to June 30fcb, 1896). ' The total number of bales was 98,676. The shippers of 1000 bales and over were: —National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, 9838 bales; Dalgety and Co., Liraibed, 8974 bales ; W. H. Clark, 8774 bales; Christchurch Meat Company, Limited, 6690 bales ;E. Owen Cox, 6339 bales; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, 6010 bales; Frozen Meat and Dairy Produce _> port Company, Limited, 4254 bales; New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, 4158 bales; Bowron Bros., 4114 bales; Geo. Kettlewell, 4005 bales ; Walter Hill, 3236 bales; W. B. Common and Co., 2654 bales ; Bank of New Zealaud Estates Company, 2519 bales; Moss Jonas, 2362 bales; Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, 2184 bales; Gould, Beaumont, and Co., 2068 bales ; - Bank of New South Wales, 1730 bales ; J.
