SOUTHLAND WINTER SHOW.
,(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) INVERCARGILL, June 2. (The Winter Show of the Southland'A. and P. Association was opened to-day by the Hon. J. Gr. Ward. The Show is equal to last year's in cheese, perhaps a little better. The principal awards in that class wete :— Factory cheese, large, Wyndham Factory 1, Island Factory 2; 121b .litto, Island Factory 1, Inch Clutha 2; 5 cwt. factory cheese, high colour, Wyndham Factory 1, Inch Clutha Factory 2; 5 cwt. factory cheese, white, Wyndham Factory 1, Stirling Factory 2 ; best single cheese, Island Factory. D. Sutherland, Mosgiel, was first for swedes, red mangolds, and field carrots, all from Button's seeds with Islington manures.
