AN IMPORTANT TEST CASE.
tfress Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. Newcastle, June 2. An important test case affecting strikers has been heard iv Court. The men employed in Brown's collieries sued the owners for wages for a week's work after the expiry of the strike notice pending the holding of a conference. Brown refused to pay, claiming that he had not recognised the Union notice, and that the men must give a fortnight's individual notice. The Court held a Union notice to be invalid, and the men must give individual notice.
