At the Supreme Court sessions Hohep» and Tβ Roheitai, on a cbftrge of personation, were sentenced respectively to nine and fonr monthe' imprisonment; Jas. Thomas, aged sixteen, for breaking and entering,; to two years; Jae. Tretbeney, fifteen, for indecent assault, to eighteen monthß* hard labour; Kenneth -Black, foe forgery and theft, to three yearn ;' Buret*; Farapa, for burglary, to twel/e months; Thos. Tremain, foe breaking and entering, , to twelve monthe. Gavin Macinty /c Park was charged, with having, on. the let ef February, at Taupo, stolen £26 in money which wae in his possession a» an officer of the Government. He pleaded "Guilty. , Mr Macgregor, who appeared i~r the aooused, said at last seseion the accused bad pleaded guilty to having stolen £442, and had been admitted to probation. Hie ■ Honour admitted Mm to probation for: nine months, oonourrent with the previous term. . ' WELLINGTON, Jus»,2. The following sentencee were passed in the Supreme Court:—Peter Miokleeen, for horse stealing and foreery, twelve months j Wm. McPhee, for stealing a bicycle,-foul momths, in addition, to the sentence he U ' now serving; Alfred Ross and S. J. Somen, for forgery and uttering, three years each; J. OJ. Wood, on seven charges of theft, two years' imprisonment'; August Peterson was acquitted on a charge of. stealing a quantity <of liquor from the Empire Hotel j James - Young, alias Saunders, was "sentenced to, eighteen months for horse 'stealing; Frederick Kingau received s> similar sestenee on a like charge. ; DUNEDIN, June 2. The Supreme Court was occupied all day with the case of Robert Hardie, who v charged with perjury. . .
