WELLINGTON, May 30. The proposal of the syndicate interested in the electric tramways is to lay double lines along .a number of streets, including some not now served by trams, and extend tbe present system to Island Bay and Ka'rori. It is ready to spend £100,000 on the work, which if carried out will serve the thickly populated parts of the city not now reached by tram cars.
