MASONIC.
The annual meeting of the Thistle Lodge, S«O., tcok place in the Ashbnrton Masouic Hail on Monday evening, when there was a large attendance of members and visiting brethren, including the following Grand Lodge officers:—D.G.M. Bro. Lnuisson, D.G.S. Bro. J. L. Carroll, S.D.G.M. Bro. VV\ Sparrow and $.G. 8.8. Bro. J. Cockburn. The ceremony of installation was conducted by the D.G.M. Bro. Louisson, and the following officers were installed :— W.M., Bro. A. Orr; 1.P.M., Bro. W. Sparrow; D.M., Bro. R. Mecleam ; S.M-, Bro. P. Rattray; 8.W., Bro. T. Morgan ; J.W.,8r0. R. Mcßae; Sec., Bro. Mellor; Treas., P.M. Bro. W. Sparrow; S.D., Bro. J. M. Hampton; J.D., Bro. J. Williams; 8.C., Bro. Geo. Morrison; 1.G., Bro. J. Ratasey; 0.G., Bro. J. Mullaney. The masonic choir, under the leadership of Bro. Lane, added greatly to the impressiveness of the ceremony, and the nicely performed selections of music were much appreciated. Much enthusiasm was shown, and the gathering was a great success.
