OPERA MANTLES

Velvet, satin, and cloth of delicate shades are the materials principally used for sorties-de-bal. These are mostly long, and are lined with fur. Some fall in rich folds from an embroidered white yoke in cloth, satin, or velvet. More still have a huge collar revers of Mongolian goat. A handsome model is of cress-green velvet, lined with shot moire satin, and trimmed with a great collar of white fur, which continues as revers and lines the fronts to the feet. A more beautiful model is of a deep apricot velvet, lined with white satin. It is hung on a yoke of white satin embroidered with gold and jet. A flounce of white silk muslin edges the yoke and descends in long boa-ends to ths feet. Rosettes of velvet decorate the front of the yoke.
