(FBBB3 ASSOCIATION TELEOBAH.) DCJNEDIN, June 11. The Prohibition League passed the iollowing resolution :—" That the attention of the Minister of Defence be directed to the remarks of Messrs J. Turnbuil and R. F. Cuthbercson, J.P'a., at Invercargili in the Hewitt caee, reflecting seriously on the conduct of the police in employing special detectives to obtain evidence of ely grogBelling, and that he be asked to take such Btep3 as will support the police in the action taken by them in this case." The action of the Danediu Licensing Committee in refusing all eleven o'clock licensee was commended.
