HORSE MARKETS.
On Friday at the Northern Central Saleyards of Mb W. Buss, Rangiora, there was an entry of 122 head. The biddings were not so buoyant as at the sale a month ago, only for draughts, for which there was an excellent demand. Out of the entry seventyfive horses changed owners at prices :— Unbroken three-year.old draughts £13 ta £15, broken draughts (good sorto) £16 to £18, medium do £9 to £14, older horses £7 to £9, trap horses £6 to £12, faaoke £6 to £10, weedy sores of all kinds at all prices.
There was a very large attendance afc ths Oxford Yards on Thursday last. The entry" was exceptionally good, and bidding for all classes of sheep was very spirited. The sale showed an advance of Is per head on lambs, and 6d on fat sheep from the previous sale. The entry oompriscd 4000 ebeep, 100 pigs, and a few head of cattle, all of whioh with the exception of one line was disposed oh The following are the principal sale* : —250 two-tooths at 10a sd, 20 at 10s 6d, 6$ at 103 3d, 92 at Ba, 22 at 8s 10d, 69 at 7e 101. Lambs—4o at 7a 2d, 201 at 5s 6d, 144 at 6» 7d, 20 at 3s 2d, 80 at 3a, 90 at 3s, 15 at 4a, 30 at 4s 3d, 123 at 4s 3d, 69 at 6« 3d; 9$ merino ewes realised Is 9d, 42 at Iα 64, 60 at Iβ 2d, 130 at Is 10J, 40 merino wetherp at 2a, 87 at 2s. Pigs—Weanera 2s 6d to Bs, porkers 12s. Cattle —Steers up to £6 15a, cows from £317s 6d to £5 2s od, yeacliogi to 265.
