WELL-DESERVED RECOGNITION.
Mr O. Hood-Williams, Secretary to the iyttelton Harbour Board, has received from tbe Royal Humane Society of Australasia the following letter in reference to the late cliff accident at Godley Heads :— ** (Che Royal Humane Society of Australasia, ** 41 Selborne Chambers, "Melbourne, December22,lß94. ** The Secretary of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, Christchurch, N.Z.,—
'* Dour Sir,—l beg to acknowledge yours of the Bth inst., enclosing an application form on behalf of William Sinclair, who risked his life in rescuing two boys near Lyttelton on the 9th November, 1894, and am pleased to inform you that he has been granted the bronze medal of the Society.
