MADAME CHRISTIAN.
Few of the worskippars at St. Mary's Cathedral last Sunday nieht were aware (says the Sydney Morning Herald of the 9th instant) as they listened to the clear tones of the fine contralto voice that filled the church, that they were then hearing Madame Christian for the lost time. Snch, however, was the case, as when service was over Madame Christian retired with the Sisters of Charily, to whose order she has been lately admitted. Niedermayer's *« Pater Noster " was the last sacred song in which Madame Christian publicly lifted up her voice.
