(PRESS ASSOCIATION TEUSGEAM.) WELLINGTON, Febrnary 28. The police have received information that a miner named William Carr was accidentally killed by a fall of earth at Oullensyille yesterday. Catherine Lane, a child of five years, fell oo her head in the play-ground of St. Joseph's Orphanage and died shortly after. Mr Tom Raymond was bringing three tone of flax from the Winkiki mill to Tepuke, and when coming down the hill was standing on the shafts, The braise broke and tne horses bolted. ' Raymond was thrown on the ground and the wheels passed over him, breaking one leg and one arm aad causing internal injuries. Raymond was unconscious when picked up and is not expected to recover. GBJSYMOUTH, February 28. Constable Watt and his wife were bathing in the Ahaura river this afternoon, when by some mischance Mrs Watt was drowned. No further particulars are to hand except that both had been accustomed to bathe in theAhaura river for a long time past.
