The College Rifla Company held iba tonus! march out on Saturday last. Leaving fcwa by the evening train thirty-five strong lader Lieut. "Lights out" was sounded at 11.30 p.m. On Sunday the programme was reveille at 6 a.m., squad drill at 6.30, breakfasts, church parade 10.50, dinner 1 p.m., and company drill 3 p.m. At tho church parade the College Rifles were joined by tho Rangiora Corps, thirty strong, under Captain Helmore, Lieutenants D'Auvergne and Torlesse, and both companies marched to St. John's Church, where the Rev. F. P. Fendall, Chaplain of the local corps, preached from Isaiah xlvi. .8, " Remember this, and show yourselves like men." The College Rifles returned to town in the evening iu-drags, soma leaving at 5.30 p.m. aud the rest at 8.30 p.m., after having had a pleasant and useful outing.
