A Te Anau correspondent informs the Otago Qaily Times that Mr has an accommodation house at the.foot of Lake - Te A nan, has secured the. lease of a section at the head of the lake and intends to build there aWo. The steamer on Lake Manapottri has been put in thorough working order, and can do her s"ven or eight knots per hoar, so that anyone can now "do " the lake in two days. Mr Donald Ross, the Government guide, reports that repairs have been effected at the Beech hut, part -ot which was so wantonly destroyed b>y some person.
