The following miniug returns are to hand.: —Golden Run dredge 31oz for a fortnight, Jutland Flat dredge 30oz Bdwt for 144 hours, Upper Waipori dredge 30oz for five days, Sew Hoy Co. dredges 89_z 3dwt 4grs. New 3 from Preservation Inlet states that at the new rush at Crayfish Island Bridsbaw. and party secured 440z in nine days, among which was a 13£oz nugget. .Our-Reefton correspondent telegraphs :— The Cocksparrow dredge was at work last week at the Inangahua Junctiou, and thirtythree ounces of fine coarse gold were obtained for three days' work. Tbe richness of the beaches on tbe Inangahua and Buller are now proved beyond doubt, and under intelligent management tbe dredging industry should prove one of the mainstays of the district. WELLINGTON, February 12. Mr E. K. Cooper, who went home in connection with the Fame and Fortune and Jubilee mines in the Thames district, returned by the Gothic These mines are owned and worked by English Companies. Mr Cooper succeeded in floating the first into 50,000 shares at £1 each. He wants the Government to amend the conditions on which the Jubilee owners have to spend £25,000 upon the mine within the specified .time.
