TAI TAPU.
The ordinary meeting was held on February 2nd. Present—All the members. A statement of rates collected and outstanding was produced, and it waa resolved that the Clerk be instructed to sue for all rate 3 not paid by the end of current month. Also that the Selwyn County Council be respectfully asked to forward subsidy on birds' destruction and unemployed labour expenditure. The Clerk was instructed to attend to necessary lepairs to Ahuriri saddle road, and it was resolved that tenders be invited to re-form4o_chains Gerkin's valley road; also, to clean district drains, and to break 100 yards metal, all to be sent in by the next meeting in March. It was further resolved that tho payment [of Ranger cease from date, but that he be authorised to impound off district roads if he is willing to do so. It w»s agreed that no further payments will be made this season for birds' heads and eggs, and that Mr P. Walsh receive notice to burn Californian thistles placed on the roadside by him, and also ho is not to remove any more of this dangerous weed on to the road. Payments amounting to £24 12s 2d were made, aad the Board adjourned.
