MOUNT HUTT ROAD BOARD.
The adjourned monthly meeting of this Bo;u'd was heid on Thursday, January 25th. Present—Messrs D. Cameron (Chaiiman)j M. J. Browne, aud P. Murray-Aynsley. Extension of time was granted to the Board's contractors for harvest. J. Black's tender for repairs on the Rakaia Gorge cuttings for the sum of £14 103 was accepted. Some repairs were sanctioned on the Blackford liuu road. Considerable damage haviug been done by stormwater on the Chertsey road, the question of repairs was deferred for a fuller meeiiug. Letters were rea( i__]from Mr Purnell re taking shingle pit at Cairnbrae. It was decided to go on with proceedings. From the same re Brick's pit.. To ask Mr Puruell to further the transter for the Board's perusal. From Mr D. Cameron (Clunes), askiug that alterations mighc be made in the valuation roll with respect tapropeity he had disposed of, the alterations were ordered to ba made, and Mr Cameron to be informed that the Board held him responsible for the preaout rates. From the County Council re thirds received. Accounts amounting to £80 0s 9d were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned.
