DAIRY FARMING.
(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DIXNEDIN, January 23. Mr Thomas Wright, manager of the Hawkeabury Agricultural' College, was deputed by the Newr South Wales Government, on his recent visit, to purchase two Ayrshire cows of the best milking strains, with the view of making the dairying branch of farming a special feature of the College. Mr Marnty purchased from Messrs A. and J. . Macfarlane, of Ayrshire Park, the cows Beauty H. and Lill JX, which were takeu by him by the Wairarapa. Mr J. R. Scott, who has been interesting himself in getting the Agent-General to take in hand tor the show of New Zealand cheese and butter, has received a communication from Messrs Trengroose to the effect that the Agent-General will gladly assist when opportunity offers, such as a representative meeting at the Colonial Institute.
