RICCARTON.

At a meeting of householders of tho Riccarton School District on Monday evening last, to elect a new Committee in consequence of alteration of boundaries of the district, there was a moderate attendance. Mr R. Brake w«s voted to the chair and explained the object of the meeting. The mombmre of the old Committee, with the exception of Mr Spictr, who ia now resident outeide the district, were unanimously re-elected. Ml Jar man was proposed to fill the vacaucy, and there being no opposition, was declared duly elected. At. a subsequent meeting oi the new Committee, Captain C. Garsia was unanimously re elected Cu&irmau. Tho Inspector's report on the work of the school was read and declared by the meeting to b» highly satisfactory.
