It is stated that the Union Steamship Company are going to build a twenty-knot Bteamer for the Melbourne aud Launceston trade. The manager of Messrs Huddart, Parker and Co.'s business ha. determined that the Tasmauia shall do no racing iv competition with the existing traders. A report to hand from Queensland says that the brig Rio Loge has been purchased by a syndicate of Bundaberg gentlemen, amongst whom is Captain Spence. It is the intention to place the brig in the South Sea Islaud trade, and it is likeiy 9he will then be known as the Island Belle. Captain Patterson retains command. The 5.3.
