ADDINGTON CRICKET CLUB.
On Saturday evening the annual meeting of the Addingtou Cricket Club was held at Inglis , Buildings. Mr S. McMurray presided, and there was a fair attendance of members. Mr J. A. Caygill, Hon. Secretary, read the annual report of the Committee and the balance sheet. The former showed that the membership had increased to fifty-five, and that the oricket was better than the previous year, though not very dUccessfuL The balance sheet showed the receipts to have been £60 ss, expenditure £57 4a 9d, leaving a credit balance of £3 Oa 3d. The assets amounted to £14 over the liabilities. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The incoming Committee was recommended to be more stringent with Regard to outstanding subscriptions. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: — President, Mr J. . Hopper; . Vice - Presidents, Messrs G. T. Booth, J. Brown, W. B. Clarkson, J. Dickenson, and C. R. Smith; Hon. Secretary, Mr H. Ellis; Hon. Treasurer, Mr J. T. Hadfield; Committee, Meaers J. A. Caygill, Freeman, Walmsley, and Wright, and Hon. E. C. J. Stevens ; Hatch Committees, (1) Messrs Hadfield and Wftlmsiey, and the captain; (2) Messrs Freeman, Wright, and the captain; representative to the Cup Committee, Mr J. A. Caygill j Auditors, Messrs O. Caygill and S. McMurray. It was resolved to confirm the negotiations entered into by the Committee to secure the use of a portion of Lancaster Park for next season at a cost of £20. The Committee were instructed to enter teams for the J unit, and President's Cups. The opening day was fixed for September 30th, tud votes of thanks concluded the business.
