THE MOB FIRED ON.
Pwe AjMchtion—Eieetrie T«Ugr»g> - OnWrigfch London, September 9. Further rioting took place at Feathersfcona. The soldiers fired on the mob, killing one and wounding eight. Serious rioliug has taken place in Nottingham, aud the local police force has been strengthened by the addition of 150 men from London.
A etate of auarchy prevails in Yorkshire. The crops have been destroyed and the public houses on the highways sacked. Troops are converging on the troubled centres.
September 9.
Another of those taking part in the miners , strike at Feathereton baa succumbed to his injuries.
The Belfast Congress passed a resolution expressing condolence with the families of the victims, and resolved that it waa the duty of the Government to provide honourable and profitable employment for the unemployed. The Daily N&os regrets that the Congress did not condemn the riots.
