When play started on January 6th the E glishmen were 108 behind, and they had but three wickets to fall, M'Gregor and Abel being hot out with 3 and 16 respectively. With 125 up the former was caught by Gregory, who was fielding substitute, for Moses, the New South Wales crack having strained his leg. Attewell joined Abel, but with U added the latter was caughb&t the wicket, and although Sharpe and Attewell took tbe total to 158 the colonials always had a bit in hand, Attebeiae; canght at mid-on at that score, and the innings closed. The colonials thus won by 54 runs. The victory of the Australians was received with great jubilation. The following are the full scores: — Australia. First Innings. Second Innings.
