EAST MALVERN ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of this Board was held at the office, on Tuesday. Present— Messrs Fraser, Scarlett, Bull and Jebson, jenr. Correspondence was read— Froni Seiwyn County Council, forwarding copy of special order vesting the road between the East Malvern and Malvern Districts in the East Malvern Road Board. Prom Robert Colthart, resigning his appointment as Clerk of the Board, thanking the Board for the uniform courtesy he had received during his term ot nineteen years' service as Clerk to the Board. It was decided to. let the matter stand over until next meeting of the Board. The Clerk was instructed to secure a specimen of a thistle reported to be the California thistle, growing on one of the roads in the district, and forward to Mr Murphy, and in the meantime have the thistles grubbed up and burned. - Several jobs were let. Accounts amounting to £69 1Q» 2d were passed. Notice, of striking a halfpenny rate was given, and the Board adjourned.
