{PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. I Received November 25th, 10.30 a.m. Rig vs Janiero, November 24. General Fouseoa was surprised at the result and complied with the demand that he should resign peaceably in order to avert a civil war and prevent a panic in the city. The army is quiet. The Cabinet has resigned. The siege of thecicy by the Navy has been raised and the populace ara rejoicing at the olose of the reign of terror. It ie expected the entire country will recognise General Peixoton, the Vice-President, as chief of the Government.
Received November 26th, 12.45 a.m. Rio db Janeiro, November 25. The revolt in Rio Grande has ended.
